History:
From the very beginning, Haru’s life as a human was miserable twisted. He was a bastard child, a mistake of his father. Said man was a powerful land lord somewhere in west Europe. His face was horrible disfigured due to the man battles he fought in. His soul was just as horrid, him being a cruel and brutal tyrant, caring only for his own gain. Often he fought for more land, or to kill any rebellions within them. No matter how strong his opponent could be the man always prevailed thanks to his prized possession: the ancient blade known as Betrayal. It’s power so great; it seduced the man into killing his own father, its previous wielder. The legend of the sword stated only one who killed in betrayal and lived through it could fully harness the swords power. With the sword in his hand, no man could dream of defeating him. But fearing the fate of his own father, the man decided that by no means would he gain an heir. But still, the pleasures of the flesh tempted him greatly. And it was when he was satisfying his bodies needs, forcing himself on one of the many girls serving him, was when Haru was conceived.
His mother, a low servant, yet a beautiful women, was named Migoto. She was a slave of an Asian culture. Knowing full well how she endangered herself, she decided to raise the boy, while hiding the identity of his father. The following years could be seen as Haru’s happiest. His mother cared deeply for him, and treated him with care and love. She also tried to educate him at the best, teaching him how to speak, read, and write. She also awakened his passion for beautiful things, showing him books about art and music. What worried her most was that as he grew, he started to resemble his father when his face wasn’t scarred yet. Haru adored his mother, and couldn’t imagine his life without her. Then, on the day of his 10th birthday, his little world as crushed.
The day passed just like any other, till his mother returned to their room after doing her duties. Looking quite nervous, she gave him a hastily packed practically ordered him to hide, and made him promises not to get out of hiding and say quiet till no one will see him. Surprised, and frightened by her attitude, he quickly found a good hiding spot. As he watched the room, he saw his father bargaining into their room with a pair of guards. The man was furious, and kept shouting at his mother. ”Where is he? Where’s the boy” he screamed over and over again, hitting the women. Obviously, some other servant must have informed him about the women’s child. She however, kept denying that she had one. Haru bit his lip hard, watching with teary eyes as the father stabbed his mother through her stomach… he stayed in hiding, tears streaming down his face, while the guards searched the room for him. After a couple of hours, the have decided to finally leave, thinking the information about his existence being fake. However, they took away the body of his mother, so the only thing left of her is a stain of her dried blood on the floor. Once he got a hold of himself, he unpacked the package he got earlier. In it was a mask. From that time, it became one of his most prized possessions, and a key to the new life he had to lead from now on
Still a child, Haru had to grow up alone quite fast if he wanted to survive. Concealing his face with the gifted mask, he had to fight everyday for survival. Stealing food and money, finding shelter in other people’s property, running away from guards. During his first year he also claimed his first victim, stabbing a guard in the neck with his own knife. He couldn’t help but to feel the thrill when he fought for his life, and took it away from others.
Over the years, he became stronger, and soon his person was known to the kingdom. At the age of 16, he was captured, and brought in front of his father. The men, not knowing the truth about his identity to this day, was impressed with his skills, and offered him a place as his personal assassin and bodyguard. Haru Agreed, knowing he would most likely die if he didn’t. Besides, it could only turn out good for him. For the next five years, he was no more then a hound for the landlord, doing any of his commands. He stole, he terrorized, and he killed. Slowly, he gained his father’s trust, becoming something of his right hand patiently he waited when the men would be vulnerable, and when he could achieve his goal: to avenge his mother. And then came the day of his 18 birthday.
His father was coming back from a successful pillage of one of his rival’s castles. One of the most precious spoils he gained was a young woman. No one knew who she was, and where did she come from, but the landlord was so mesmerized by her beauty, he decided to make her his wife. The girl didn’t show much resistance, or any other signs of emotions for the matter. She sat on her horse through all the way, while all the other soldiers admired her looks. Haru was no exemption: every time he looked at her, he felt his heart stop for a second…he felt a combination of admiration and…dread. He just couldn’t resist her alluring presence. Suddenly, half way to their kingdom, the forces of his father were ambushed. The assailants were much fewer in numbers, but each one as strong as at least 15 of their soldiers. Haru had to struggle in every second of the battle.
By the end of the carnage, he laid on the ground, on the verge of death. The only one standing was his father, and the women on the horse. Seeing no more enemies, he raised his hand n the air, letting out a cry of victory… which hanged into a gasping breath as his heart was pierced by a sword. Turning to see the one who killed him, he saw his masked assassin, his face uncovered…so similar to his…and so came around the twisted circle, son killing father. Haru fell to the ground again, feeling life leaving his body, happy that the only person he cared for in his life was now avenged. He didn’t notice the infamous sword all into his palm, and disappear in a burst of purple smoke. He closed his eyes, ready to embrace the end… and then he heard a soft voice say “Open your eyes, brave warrior…” He did so, and saw the beautiful women staring straight into his own eyes, her in the color of deep crimson. “Your time has not come yet, human…not yet” she said, leaning into his neck… then next thing he saw was darkness… and so ended his life as a mortal… a completely new phase has begun
And so, he was introduced into the world of Vampires. The girl turned out to be the daughter of the leader of one of the most powerful covens of that time. Although at first reluctant to embrace is new role, he soon started to think of this as a chance to live hi life anew, in the way he saw it fit. Through the years, ha advanced in the hierarchy of vampires, and soon assumed a similar position that he had in the short years of his servitude for his father. But it didn’t mean much for him, as he found himself falling for the vampire women which gave him his new life. Every time he saw her, he felt an irresistible pull towards her, as if he was under some sort of spell although he tried the best he could, he cold not gain her attention. The coven’s elders, although satisfied with his works, demanded he told them what happened to the blade Betrayal. He learned more about its history here.
In the beginning, there was only one blade, the Omen of Despair. Forged in ancient times, when the lycans were still mere servants of the vampires, by one mightiest vampire covens at that time. The blade had such power; no other being could stand a chance against its wilder. But it also became part of the coven’s downfall. The leader of the vampires had done something unthinkable for most of his kind: he fall in love with Lycan women with return, and took her as his bride. Even though much protested, no one could match him in battle, and what was stranger, the lycans seemed to accept this relationship. All became clear one the day the Lycans rebelled. When the attack commence, most of the lesser vampires were killed, while the elders and stronger warriors, including the leader, weakened by poison. It turned out as an elaborate plot, the lycan women looking for ways her brethren could attack the castle unnoticed, and poisoning the vampire’s food. Furious, using all his strength, the leader of vampires stroke the ground with his blade. The sheer force released then obliterated the castle, and any other objects in the range of several hundred miles. Some say the entire world shock upon that blow. When the dust came down, all that was left were two sister blades, named after what the leader of the extinct coven thought in the moment of death: The Betrayal, and Deception. For centuries, humans, vampires and lycans alike sought out the swords, for their power alone was great. Only a few knew they could meld, forming an even greater power. As the runic symbols shining upon their blades when used said” He who suffered and endured us, my embrace true Despair”.
And now, one blade was in the possession of the elders commanding Haru, while the other was supposed to be his. The only thing he has from that faithful day was a small cross he found in his hand. Furious, the elders decided to put him through extensive torture, until he would reveal where the sword is. Also, they bound him with powerful spells, so he could still continue performing his duties as their main enforcer and assassin. His life now almost a constant pain, Haru was in distress, the spell not allowing him to even try and take his own life. Just when he thought he would lose his sanity, the daughter of the Covens leader was placed to make sure he lives. For the next hundred years, she would tend his wounds, bring him food, or simply talk with him. Even though the horrid torture he was put through, and the constant wounds after battles, he felt at ease with her. To his joy, after 75 years, she seemed to finally return the affection he felt towards her. But the happiness as rather short lived. After a hundred years passed, the covens elders decided to put him through the ultimate punishment. He would become the very first Hybrid in their ranks, and he would be conscious over the whole procedure. The last thing he remembered after being chained to the operational table was the horrified face of his love…and then came pain.
Pain greater then ever in his entire life till the current day. His body changed violently, and he was forced wide awake the whole time. As his senses sharpened, the pain grew even stronger. His sanity on the verge of breaking several times, the thing that let him pulls through were thoughts of his love…and revenge. He could feel the good sides of this procedure though. He was becoming stronger, faster, and ready to endure more. Also, he could feel the spells of obedience put on him had lost their effect by the end; he was a completely different being…a Hybrid. He was brought up before the vampire elders after he was brought back to shape. Yet again, they demanded him to bring out the sword. Haru, acting as if his will was shattered, brought out the mysterious cross, and concentrated on it. He poured into it the malice after the Covens betrayal. And then, in a burst of purple smoke and light, Betrayal appeared in his hands.
Griping the blade’s handle tight, he couldn’t help but to smirk at the power he felt. Suddenly, the leader’s daughter, his beloved, shouted out to him to kill the elders. Haru was surprised to say the least, but since that was his plan all along, he quickly dashes at the elders. With his strength and the blade, they didn’t stand a chance. Soon, he stood over their bloodied corpse, the second twin blade, Deception, in his hand. He wondered why it didn’t disappear like once Betrayal did… None of the elders deceived him in any form. The answer when he heard his beloved laugh, partly at her father’s and elders corpse, and partly at…him. As she told the shocked vampires in the room, this was the fruit of her plot.
hen she turned Haru into a vampire, she charmed him with a spell of her own… she planned on using him to take control of both of the blades, and then dispose of her father and his lackeys. She laughed aloud, calming how she created the perfect toll and toy, and how now she would regain supreme over all vampires. Haru just stood there, looking at her blankly…his heart, if vampires even have one, now completely shattered. So that was why she was so alluring to him…well, now, her spell didn’t seem to work anymore as well. Almost trembling with anger, he stepped closer to. He remember her face, first confused, then frightened…then slowly losing any emotions at all, both blades piercing her through her stomach. He watched as his former love died from his hands… a part of him dying along. Fury overtaking his senses, he assaulted all the other vampires of the coven. The fight dragged along all day and night, screams on anguish mixing over time with a maniacal laugh. By dawn, Haru was the only one standing…The true master of Betrayal and Deception…powerful, unstoppable…yet why did he feel such pain inside?..
For the next years, Haru roamed around the world. He became a loner, avoiding any contact with any race on the earth. The only exceptions is when he fought, be it some foolish human, or a trained assassin sent after such a dangerous individual as him. He became quite know around the darker parts of the world, being the one wielding the pair of legendary swords. Killing of those who stood on his way brought him joy…but only for some time. With each day, he grew more bored of the world in general. Pathetic humans going about their monotonous lives, Lycans rampaging like wild beasts, his own kinsmen leading empty life’s…it was so uninteresting for him, who has seen so much already. He searched for any forms of amusement. In his journeys around the world, he gathered quite a collection of precious pieces of art. He also took upon himself to learn to play the pain, and how to sing. He also had many encounters with females of any race, but none of them was close to mending the wounds he had inside. One also achieved what many dreamed about before him. He had found the way restore the twin blades into their original form, the Omen of Despair. However, he still wasn’t able to fully harness its power, so he strives to get stronger still. However, he could not find any opponents with satisfying strength. At the age of 300, he got bored of wandering around, and decides to settle down. He offered his service to the Acerbian coven, and they were quite happy to let him in their ranks. He quickly became one of their most feared warriors, although his history caused many to look down upon him. It didn’t matter though…it was just as boring as any other reaction he got. And to this day, collecting beautiful items, searching for strong enemies…and craving for something to fill the emptiness deep inside him, no matter how much he denied it…

What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger…
The legend will never die…

Since Haru has not mastered this blade yet, he also is vulnerable to this effect. The longer he wields the blade, the closer he comes to death. However, the more of life essence the sword gathers, the stronger its wilder becomes. High risk’s, high rewards
